“ My wife wanted ingredients for the Dubai chocolate craze. Where to find kataifa and pistachio cream in the High Desert? Ararat Market! The owner said he called around all day yesterday to secure the kataifa and he had a freezer full. The pistachio cream was in the fridge, and 7.49 for a 7 ounce jar is less than half what I would have paid on Amazon. I would also add that the store is exceptionally clean and orderly. ”
“ A wonderful little find. Not easy to find authentic Mediterranean food with few ingredients here in the high desert. The couple/owners working market have always been kind and helpful. My picky taste buds love the selection, my wallet the prices, and my soul the service and treats from the "Holy Land." An all around heartwarming place! ”
“ Great products, wide selection! My favorite is the variety of tea- they carry hard to find teas :D The cookie wafers (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry) and seasonings are also a must! I have to go back and spend more time looking at all the products. I want to try the baklava. I was treated so kindly- they earned a loyal customer. Owners extremely nice. ”
“ Great place for some euro and middle eastern snacks and food. Nice people no issues what so ever with them. Never had them look at me funny or walk behind me in suspicion. Groceries always fresh ”
“ A staple for middle eastern and Mediterranean food in the High Desert. Been going here for 15 years and the owners are friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and all your essential items are available. If you can't find what you're looking for then special orders are welcomed. They've been there for years and a lot of people are still unaware it exists, definitely a hidden gem. ”
“ Thank goodness this place exists. It's (probably) the only place in the high desert that sells Russian food. Owners are kind and the shop is clean and tidy. My go-to purchases are definitely pelmini, priyanik, and dadu cheesecake bars. You should def give 'em a try if you want to experience what heaven tastes like. ”
“ This is the best little Middle East store it's. Clean and every time I go in there the owners are so nice he takes my groceries to my car very good customer service I used to go to Rancho Cucamonga for my grocery I live in Apple Valley I will always come here wonderful place ”
“ Staff is extremely friendly and selection is great. I go for the sugar-free halvah, sesame tahini, pickled vegetables, spices, bulgur and fava beans. My lucky friend who can still eat sugar loves the imported jams and preserves, nuts packed in honey and "mystery" candies (is it rose? walnut? sesame?). My Atkins friend likes all the different cured meats and cheeses. There's also Dadu ice cream, fresh breads, fresh herbs, yogurt, a small deli . . . If you're into Middle Eastern or Georgian food (and, of course, Armenian or Russian), this place could well save you a drive down the hill, and if you're not, you may be after you stop in 'cause everything looks so interesting! ”
“ Nice little store/deli. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I mostly come for Slavic foods twice a month or so. They carry a decent variety of Russian, Armenian, and Middle Eastern foods you can't find anywhere else is High Desert. If you feel adventurous, come try some, you won't regret it !!!! ”
“ I KNEW (absolutely KNEW) that the major markets in our area did not stock grape leaves on their shelves (I wanted to make dolmas, aka Stuffed Grape Leaves), and I was 100% certain that I would find it at this market. AND. I. DID. Not only that, but I found ingredients from recipes I pinned on Pinterest to try. I am all about supporting local businesses and now I know where to get some ingredients. Plus, there is a few quality baked goods in the back, including packaging of pita bread that I can definitely use to make chips. This place is clean, organized, colorful, and just inviting. I shall return! Oh, parking does suck because it is such a small mom and pop shop, but very worth the small grocery shopping. ”
